Meet The Hosts

Sham

Sham, a self-proclaimed sports-enthusiast, hails from Central Maryland. A graduate of Hampton University with a BS in Music Engineering Technology, she serves as the podcast’s producer and engineer. Sham is a classical violinist, sometimes vocalist and is the resident “know-it-all” when it comes to music. Professionally, she’s had a legal career for over 15 years and often gives her insight on such issues. A former bartender, Sham enjoys studying the characteristics of whiskey, crafting cocktails and is a wine enthusiast. In her spare time, Sham loves to watch TV (REALITY TV IS A MUST), listen to 90s music, enjoy delicious food, and cheer for her beloved sports teams—the Philadelphia Eagles, Duke Blue Devils basketball, and the Baltimore Orioles.

Shaka

Shaka, born and raised in Washington, DC, attended St Albans School in NW, while later studying Political Science at Vanderbilt University. In his professional life he’s worked primarily in the financial sector, handling operations for both the retail and healthcare industries. He is constantly traveling for work which takes him all over the country and allows him to meet people of all backgrounds, which further fuels his interest in racial, social, and economic issues especially in the US. He’s an avid sports fan whose favorite teams are the Wizards, Capitals, Nationals, and RAIDAHS. He loves to go on political rants, have unlimited mimosas at brunch, and make unreasonable predictions about his sports teams. Stop Playin’!
